About Kanak Agrawal

Welcome to the "Investing for Beginners" course! I’m thrilled to be your instructor. I hold a Master’s Degree in Finance from Duke University, where I concentrated on financial risk management, portfolio management, derivatives, and fixed income securities. Since graduating in 2019, I have garnered over five years of experience in the banking and finance industry.

My investment journey began ten years ago with my initial stock purchase in the Indian market in 2015. Although I now reside in the US, I continue to invest in both the US and Indian stock markets. Over the past decade, I have successfully managed my own portfolio as well as my family’s, with a combined value exceeding one million dollars.

This transition from a novice investor to managing a significant portfolio has equipped me with valuable insights. I am eager to share these insights with you, understanding the challenges new investors face and helping you navigate them with confidence.
